Getting to know Abbey Sweitzer
I am an experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has worked with a wide variety of individuals and groups. I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Youngstown State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Geneva College. My focus is to provide individual counseling for children, teens, and young adults with mental health disorders, trauma, addiction, and eating disorders.
When working with a patient, I take a strengths-based approach with a Christian foundation while utilizing several modes of intervention, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and positive psychology. I pride myself on my approach, as it is individualized and non-judgmental.
I want to help my patients rediscover the best version of themselves by teaching self-care, self-compassion, mindfulness, and rebuilding self-esteem. My goal is to be an ally for my patients in their journeys. Everyone deserves to live happy, fulfilling lives.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits
