Hi there, I'm Abigail! My name is Abigail Reiner, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I earned my Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I use an eclectic approach in working with children, teenagers, and adults to meet you where you are and address your goals. I am client-focused and have experience in general counseling, substance abuse, bipolar and adjustment disorders, as well as trauma and life changes. My approach I want to help you feel better as soon as possible. I use many behavioral techniques and do not believe in keeping people in therapy forever. I will work with you on a plan, and together we will meet your goals. I may recommend activities and readings that are not mandatory. My focus I work with both men and women of all ages but tend to focus on teenagers through mid-adulthood. I have a lot of experience with teenagers, young adults, and children. I specialize in adjustment issues-meaning adjusting to life changes-as well as Bipolar Disorder, Substance Abuse, Anxiety, and Depression. I also provide family and couples counseling. My communication style I am relaxed and talkative. I give a lot of feedback but am a good listener. Most people feel relaxed and comfortable in sessions with me. My journey to mental healthcare I have always enjoyed helping people, and from the time I was a teenager, I became a go-to for friends. I realize that life has ups and downs, and I often reflect on my own journeys to help clients. While I have worked in the counseling therapy field, I have recently returned to seeing clients regularly. I have obtained two licenses and am working on a doctorate. I believe in self-growth and exploration, and life is a journey to find a sense of balance within oneself. My goals for you I like to work with clients to set goals together. I believe in defining goals and figuring out a plan that is comfortable and achievable to reach them.
