Finding the right therapist can be hard, especially when trying to do so during a difficult time. That's why my focus as a therapist is to foster a compassionate and safe environment to help you navigate anxiety, self-doubt, and/or any recent life changes. All it takes is just continuing to give yourself a chance to move forward. My approach I pull ideas from different approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy, to help you identify and reshape painful thoughts. Therapy goals are agreed upon together, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of the techniques being used. Sometimes it's best to process, other times we seek practical solutions. My focus If you're struggling with self-doubt, anxiety, depression, chances are it's been hard to feel hopeful about therapy. I work with adults and young adults struggling with life changes, trauma, and/or self-esteem difficulties to help form a stronger sense of self. Together we'll find how improving the relationship with ourselves can change everything. My communication style I prioritize and clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. This is only achievable through accessing our most authentic selves in session. You can expect me to be calm and patient, but also personable and easy-going. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began in 2013 when I first started working in the mental health field as a case manager. Working with individuals with severe mental health conditions gave me the chance to see what a huge difference having the right therapist can have on a person's road to wellness. That experience instilled the belief in me that everyone can heal/grow. My goals for you Therapy is a partnership. We figure things out together, whether that's improving relationships, building self-esteem, or pursuing personal growth. We'll focus on what matters most to you.
