Getting to know Adriana Aceves

Hi there, I'm Adriana! Hello! I'm Adriana Aceves, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles, CA, currently providing telehealth services statewide. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles. My main clinical experience is working with adolescents, their families, and transitional-age youth (TAY). I have supported a variety of individuals and populations in gaining emotional well-being, personal growth, and improved relationships through evidence-based, culturally sensitive approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. My approach I tailor my therapeutic approach to suit your unique needs, drawing from various evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety (SS), and Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP). My approach is comprehensive, considering both individual and family dynamics through Attachment and Family Systems Theory. I have found this especially important when addressing challenges related to socioeconomic status, trauma, and mental health issues in my work with clients. My focus My client focus is inclusive and diverse, with clinical experience providing both voluntary and court-mandated mental health services. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard, supported, and in control of their lives! I have found that my style and therapeutic approach are a particularly good fit for addressing the unique challenges faced by first-generation individuals and at-risk youth dealing with life transitions and social pressures. These often present as anxiety, depression, and stress, among other concerns. I work to help my clients navigate life transitions, build skills, and develop self-awareness so they can feel better about themselves and cultivate a more positive outlook on life and their relationships.
