Adriane Weaver, LCSW

Psychotherapist
VA
You may look “fine” on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or emotionally tired on the inside. I help clients who are carrying a lot emotionally, relationally, and professionally make sense of their experiences and reconnect with themselves. Therapy with me is a collaborative space rooted in curiosity, depth, and care. My approach My approach to care is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in respect for each client’s lived experience. I believe healing happens in relationship and at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. My focus I work with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, identity exploration, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves despite appearing “put together.” My communication style I communicate with compassion and clarity, balancing empathy with directness when helpful. I aim to be present, responsive, and transparent, adapting my style to each client’s needs while maintaining a supportive and grounded therapeutic relationship. My journey to mental healthcare I came to this work through a combination of lived experience, academic training, and years of working within systems that deeply impact people’s lives. I saw firsthand how stress, trauma, and identity can be shaped by relationships, culture, and institutions, and how often people are expected to “push through” without support. My goals for you I help clients reach their goals by working collaboratively to clarify what they want, understand what has been getting in the way, and identify supports that feel realistic and sustainable. My first session with you A first session with me is focused on creating a sense of safety and ease. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important right now. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.
