Hi there, I'm Adrienne! Hello! My name is Adrienne Krawetz, LMFT. I have been helping individuals, couples, and families for 19 years. These days can be stressful and difficult to navigate alone. You are not alone! We are in this together, and I ask, "How can I help?" My approach I am a humanistic, client-centered therapist, knowing you know yourself best! I guide you back to you. I use CBT, Psychodynamic, Family Systems, Brief Solution, and Play therapy methodologies. We are all individuals, and what works for you may not work for another. My focus I specialize in trauma survivors, anxiety, depression, OCD, life stage adjustments, LGBTQI folk, fertility support, women's issues, couples therapy, teenagers, sand tray for children, and harm reduction for addiction. My communication style I am kind and loving. Having experienced my own traumas and family dysfunction, I don’t think I know more than you, but consider myself a "Therapist of the People." I have worked to support myself with real-world problems, which is why I accept insurance in a state where many clinicians prioritize money over the working class. I set strong boundaries and want you to feel valued and satisfied with yourself. My journey to mental healthcare I was a public middle school teacher for 10 years, teaching Social Science, History, and ESL. When I saw my students struggling with traumatic home situations, I realized my passion was less about history and more about "What happened to you?" and how can I help? So, I went back to graduate school in my 30s and earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College. Now, I am old ;) but also a darn good therapist.
