Hi there, I'm Adrienne! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in California, Georgia, and North Carolina. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Social Work from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I have been working in the mental health and substance abuse field for over 10 years in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. When I am not practicing therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my partner of 9 years, our four children aged 8, 6, and 3-year-old twins, and our menagerie of animals. For self-care, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, and going on nature walks with the family. My approach My therapeutic approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I use a variety of other evidence-based interventions to best suit the needs and presenting issues of clients. Other approaches I commonly use include Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-focused strategies, and systems theory. My focus I have experience working with individuals aged 5 to 99 years old and specialize in anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD/trauma, substance use disorders, women's issues, LGBTQ++ issues, relationship issues, and major life transitions. My communication style My communication style is reflective, compassionate, and encourages growth through supportive accountability. I truly believe every person has the capacity for change, regardless of their circumstances, trauma history, or life experiences. My goals for you I believe you are the expert on your life, and my role is to support you in prioritizing your goals for therapy and working together to set a roadmap for achieving them. My first session with you At our first session, you can expect to share some background information about yourself, what has brought you to therapy, and any goals you have for our time together.
