Agnes Rapala, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I'm a licensed clinician with a deep commitment to supporting individuals through crisis and complex life challenges. My practice is rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and a collaborative approach—whether I'm working alongside first responders, guiding families, or providing therapy to children and adolescents. My approach I provide a safe, supportive space where you can develop greater self-awareness, connect the dots between past and present, and begin to shift long-standing internal narratives. While I draw on evidence-based practices like CBT and mindfulness when needed, much of our work will focus on processing trauma, understanding unconscious dynamics. My focus My client focus is on individuals and families impacted by trauma, systemic stress, and emotional dysregulation. I specialize in working with youth, young adults, and high-acuity clients who may be struggling with mood and/or personality disorders, identity concerns, or the effects of complex trauma. My communication style I’m here to truly listen, to help you feel seen and understood, and to gently challenge patterns that may be holding you back. I believe therapy should be a space where you can find your voice, reconnect with your inner strength, and explore parts of yourself that may have been silenced or overlooked. My journey to mental healthcare I worked across a range of settings: homeless services, substance use programs, youth residential care, and first responding (988), where I witnessed the resilience of individuals facing tremendous challenges. Those experiences showed me how powerful it can be when someone feels truly seen, supported, and given the tools to reclaim their voice. My goals for you I help clients reach their goals by first creating a collaborative, trusting relationship where you feel safe to share openly and honestly.
