Getting to know Aimee Dinschel

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed by stress, overthinking, or patterns in relationships that are difficult to change. My goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly, better understand what you’re experiencing, and develop practical tools to move forward with greater confidence.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. Together we focus on understanding the patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building strategies to help manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and improve relationships. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, past trauma, or navigating a major life change, therapy can help you gain clarity and build the skills needed to create meaningful change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we focus on getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to therapy. We will talk about the challenges you are currently facing, your goals for therapy, and any past experiences that may be important to understanding the bigger picture. From there, we work together to identify patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or relationship difficulties. My approach is collaborative and supportive, and sessions move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. In ongoing sessions, we focus on building insight while also developing practical tools to help manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and improve relationships. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed therapy to help clients create meaningful and lasting change.
