Getting to know Aisha Meertins

Do you feel stuck in some way? Do you find yourself unsure how to manage overwhelming feelings, anxiety, or stressors? I believe the clients I work with are their own biggest advocates in directing their path to improved functioning. I am committed to helping my clients become the best version of themselves they seek to be. My goal is to help clients develop insight into challenging areas of their lives and learn skills to overcome barriers to change. I recognize that life and experiences may include past traumas, losses, and current stressors that create moments of uncertainty about the next step. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the Catholic University of America, and I look forward to using evidence-based techniques while partnering with you to find your path to improved functioning.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our initial session will be gathering background clinical information and identifying your goals for therapy as well as ways in which I can begin to support achieving those goals. Our sessions will be collaborative and include on-going feedback to determine if we are successfully working towards achieving your therapy goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
