“Alana has gotten me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to do things that are really hard. She coached me to have a conversation with a loved one regarding a topic that had been painful in my life for 13 years. I was terrified to do this. Through Alana's help, I had the conversation with this loved one and it went so well. I feel liberated and am continuing to remove these roadblocks in my life that have I had enough of. Alana gives me direct feedback with warmth and guided solutions. This therapy is really working and changing my life.”

Getting to know Alana Fineo

I’m Alana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles. I work with young adults and women who are navigating major life transitions and feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Together, we identify and clear the patterns that get in the way of you showing up as the most grounded, confident version of yourself. I earned my undergraduate degree from Simmons University and my master’s degree from the University of Southern California. Over the past decade, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings-including school-based mental health programs within LAUSD and SMMUSD, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, the Department of Children and Family Services, intensive outpatient and residential programs and most recently private practice. These experiences shaped a treatment approach that is thoughtful, flexible, and deeply attuned to the whole person. I believe meaningful therapy goes beyond symptom management and focuses on understanding the root causes of distress. My style is warm yet direct, grounded, and collaborative. Clients often share that they feel relief early on-because they finally feel understood. My role isn’t to “fix” you, but to help you reconnect with your strengths, build clarity and confidence, and feel more in control of your life again.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I value supporting clients in the development of weekly goals that empower their journey to realize their full potential. Clients will build a 'tool kit' of coping skills to support them in managing big feelings & triggers all while learning appropriate ways to process and cope with the tricky situations life throws at us.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
