Dr. Alberto Figueroa is a LPC, and CFT with more than 17 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. He earned his Master's degree in Clinical Counseling and went on to earn a Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology fromNorthcentral University. Additionally, he studied structural family therapy to understand people's interconnectedness. He uses a combined approach to counseling that maintains one theoretical perspective as its foundation (Adlerian psychodynamic therapy) and applies interventions from other theories to individualize treatment. Dr. Al believes therapy helps individuals become aware of the obstacles that hinder their goals. Armed with awareness, persons can examine behavior patterns, discover alternative possibilities, implement change, and learn to accept their reality.
