Hi there, I'm Alejandra! My name is Alejandra Guzman-Valencia, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Together, we will implement therapeutic practices and interventions that best meet your needs, including those related to CBT, DBT, and Solution Focused therapy, among others. My focus I am a strong believer in meeting individuals where they are at-that is, validating and supporting their current stage of change while encouraging them to actively visualize the best version of themselves. My communication style I provide a supportive and welcoming atmosphere by listening to and validating your life experiences. My goals for you Together, we will develop treatment goals and work toward them at your pace. As sessions progress, I will recommend a series of skills to practice between sessions. I will be here to support and encourage you every step of the way while respecting your right to self-determination. My first session with you The first couple of sessions involve rapport building, where you and I get to know each other and determine if the therapeutic alliance is a good fit. I will review expectations and guidelines and give you the opportunity to share your reasons for seeking therapy.
