Getting to know Alejandra Santana

Hello and welcome, my name is Alejandra, and I am a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. I specialize in mental health and practice from a psychodynamic perspective, focusing on feelings and beliefs from one's lived experience. I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, work challenges, and family concerns, and I can include faith as part of the healing process. My therapy approach is client-centered and tailored to each individual's needs. Every person is unique, and I believe in collaborating with clients to problem-solve together. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Integrative/Holistic Therapy. I see each person from a whole-person perspective, addressing emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. These modalities help me understand how to move forward with each individual. I have experience providing mental health services to clients of all ages in schools, hospitals, behavioral health clinics, and non-profit faith-based organizations. I have worked with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, women’s issues, chronic illness and pain, substance use, relationship conflict, burnout, life transitions, caregiver stress, and Christian counseling. I help clients problem-solve and identify coping skills to manage and reduce stressors. My approach is warm, empathic, strength-based, and non-judgmental. I am passionate about clients feeling heard and guided toward relief, empowerment, and restoration. My goal is to create a safe environment where clients can build trust without judgment. As a clinical social worker, I am deeply impacted by the needs of others and how trauma has affected their lives. I am passionate about helping others heal.
