Getting to know Alejandra Vega

Life has many obstacles, expectations, and changes that can be overwhelming and at times difficult to manage. I provide support to individuals navigating barriers to a happier and more meaningful life. I am a bilingual Latina therapist who graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master's in Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in working with youth and adults. In addition to my clinical experience, I create an environment that can be humorous and fun as well as vulnerable and challenging. I have primarily worked with clients experiencing the effects of anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, relationship issues, break-ups, anger, loneliness, grief, life changes, and women trying to navigate the complexities of becoming a mom. We will work on addressing the immediate problem or crisis that brings you to psychotherapy, as well as underlying issues and psychological conflicts, including difficulties with career, parenthood, anxiety, and depression. Together, we will find a safe way to address difficult emotions and plan a course of therapy that is safe and non-threatening.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect to walk away from our sessions with tools to help you navigate the complexities of life and emotions in a safe and effective way. To be able to live in the moment. Being present with your feelings and thoughts and knowing that you can handle anything that is to come.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
