Hi there, I'm Alexandra! Hello, my name is Alexandra (Ali) Duran, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Fresno, California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I earned my Master's in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University, Fresno. I help adolescents and adults who struggle with depression and anxiety learn to regulate challenging emotions, develop new life skills, process trauma and loss, and find joy and meaning in life. I also help couples strengthen their bond, improve communication, and explore their joint needs, responsibilities, and goals for the future. I love my job because I support individuals in living more genuine and fulfilling lives while helping couples have more satisfying relationships! My approach My approach varies based on each client's needs but is always person-centered. I believe clients are the experts on themselves and, with a safe, nonjudgmental environment and guidance, can find their own answers. I also use evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to equip clients with skills and resources for success. My focus I provide individual and family therapy to adolescents (13-17) and adults (18+) of diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, as well as couples therapy for relational issues.
