What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients describe me as approachable, compassionate, and direct. I believe therapy works best as a partnership—where we combine your lived experience with my clinical tools to move toward your goals. In sessions, I balance empathy with honest reflection, helping you gain insight and apply new strategies in daily life. Whether you’re facing a major transition, healing from loss, managing stress, or seeking a deeper sense of purpose, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start by getting to know you—your goals, strengths, and what’s bringing you to therapy now. The first few sessions focus on understanding your history, current challenges, and what you’d like to change or better understand about yourself. From there, we’ll work together to develop a plan that feels both meaningful and manageable. Sessions typically blend conversation, reflection, and practical skill-building. I use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to help you gain insight, manage emotions, and strengthen coping strategies. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, respected, and empowered to make progress at your own pace. Over time, we’ll review what’s working, adjust our approach as needed, and celebrate growth along the way.
