What should a new client know about working with you?

Hi! Need someone to talk through day-to-day life with that isn’t your friends or family? That’s what I’m here for! Most of my clients are in their 20’s or 30’s, building their careers, have friends and family they love (with maybe a little drama between a few), and use therapy as a way to process their life and experiences with a clinical expert. They also want their therapist actively involved in the session— asking them the right questions to make connections they haven’t made before, being honest about what they might not be addressing, and be easy to talk to/relatable. Cue: me becoming a therapist I became a therapist because I wanted to have a therapist that approaches therapy this same way: was able to follow my ramblings but also knew when to stop me to make an important realization, could laugh at me and themselves, was not too woo-woo and could actually help me create solutions I needed and wanted in my life without telling me exactly what to do. I truly believe going to therapy once a week makes life better. I still go! You learn so much about yourself, about psychology, and ultimately how to live your version of your best life with no one else’s influences. I’m never one to tell people how to live, I only create the space and ask the right questions to help you figure it out for yourself!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, we focus on understanding what’s bringing you in and the patterns that may be keeping things stuck—whether that’s anxiety, relationship dynamics, work stress, or major life decisions. Sessions are conversational and reflective, and I’ll ask thoughtful questions to help you notice connections you may not have seen before. Many clients start by meeting weekly so we can build momentum and get a clearer picture of what’s going on, and then shift to meeting less frequently as things begin to change.
