Hi there, I'm Alexis! Alexis Powers MS, LCPC (LC13752) is an EMDR-trained, licensed counselor/psychotherapist focusing on the treatment of young adults and life adjustment for older adults. She utilizes cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) for the treatment of depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, AD(H)D, adjustment disorder, and trauma. Alexis also provides EMDR treatment for self-esteem building and trauma healing. She offers clients the opportunity to vent about life’s disappointments and difficulties. My approach Alexis is an eclectic provider. Her approach to treatment depends upon client needs and includes person-centered, CBT, REBT, psychodynamic, and EMDR. My focus Alexis works with clients with a variety of needs. Some clients simply want to discuss life problems. Alexis also treats clients with issues related to adjustment, depression, anxiety, trauma, and more. My communication style Alexis provides a welcoming environment for clients to share personal life issues. My journey to mental healthcare Alexis became interested in becoming a therapist with whom clients felt a positive rapport since her adolescence. Having experienced her own challenges with mental health growing up, she views recovery as an amazing gift she loves to share.
