Getting to know Alfred Mccloud

Hi there, I'm Alfred! Welcome to my counseling practice! My name is Alfred McCloud, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Southern California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I work with individuals, couples, and families, specializing in challenges such as anxiety, depression, relational stress, grief and loss, and racial injustice using an integrative approach rooted in cultural humility, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and person-centered practices. Whether we meet or not, I hope you find the right therapist for your unique needs. My approach My therapeutic approach varies based on each client's needs. I most often use an integrative method combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered practices, balancing skill-building and processing so you may unstuck yourself, mend what feels broken, voice your deepest aspirations, and discover unknown parts of yourself. My focus My style best fits young and middle-aged adults, couples, families, and individuals within the BIPOC community facing major life transitions, grief, relational stressors, or internal struggles. These experiences often manifest as anxiety, depression, physical discomfort, inner criticism, and self-doubt. I have extensive experience supporting clients through these challenges toward cultivating fulfillment. My communication style Clients describe my presence as calm, non-judgmental, authentic, and natural. Finding the right therapist can be overwhelming, so I aim to listen first and meet you where you are in your emotional experience.
