Getting to know Alice Fitzgerald
Hello-I'm Alice.
I enjoy helping others change, grow, and solve lifelong challenges. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, including a specialization in substance abuse and Adlerian theory, both from Adler University in Chicago. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including community mental health providing services to children, families, and adults; emergency room settings assessing the need for hospitalization; the department of corrections with maximum-security inmates; an online therapy organization offering video, text, and phone services; and private practice.
Given my diverse experiences with clients and settings, I believe my greatest strength is the ability to listen and understand what clients hope to achieve in therapy. I want to help you be successful in your life, relationships, and career. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can share your feelings and challenges.
I have worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, and anger issues. I also have experience working with non-binary, LGBTQ clients and diverse multicultural communities. I enjoy supporting people through transitions such as moving from high school to college, college to career, retirement, marriage, divorce, and parenting.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I want to create a safe, non judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood. We will discuss the problems you are struggling with by gaining an understanding of your past and help find a solution to resolve the challenge that effecting you today.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
