Alina Halonen, LPCC, CPC

Psychotherapist
500 N Oakhurst Dr, Beverly Hills, CA
I help adults shift from survival mode into sustainable change and emotional freedom. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns that once helped them cope—anxiety that never shuts off, trauma responses that limit connection, or habits that feel hard to control. My work is practical, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing should move at the speed of safety. My practice is inclusive, trauma-informed, and affirming of all identities and backgrounds. I offer telehealth in California and Nevada, as well as walk therapy in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I support healing without pressure, pathologizing, or judgment. I’m not the kind of therapist who just listens and nods—I’m active in session and invested in your progress. You can expect honest feedback, compassionate accountability, and tools you can actually use between sessions. I honor your pace while still helping you build momentum. Therapy with me is nonjudgmental and real—you don’t have to filter yourself here.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with clarity. In the first sessions, we identify what’s fueling your patterns emotionally, mentally, and physiologically. From there, we build a foundation of nervous system stability so change feels possible, not overwhelming. We use structured strategies for emotional regulation, boundary-setting, and healing from trauma patterns while practicing skills that improve daily life. Sessions are focused, collaborative, and grounded in your long-term goals—not quick fixes that don’t last.

I accept insurance through Headway and Alma, which means I am in-network with select plans they support. They handle eligibility checks, authorizations, and claim submissions so sessions can be billed directly through your insurance when applicable. If I am not in-network with your plan, I also offer the option to work together as an out-of-network provider and can provide a monthly superbill so you may request reimbursement from your insurance, which is common with many PPO plans.
