Getting to know Alisia Mitchell

My clinical experience has been focused on individuals and families of various ages. I have primarily worked with Hispanic/Latino and African American college students and young professionals starting out in their careers. With the pressures, stressors, and life transitions of life, I love to support people who may feel their voice is not heard-whether at their jobs, in their families, or at school. As a clinical therapist, I focus on your needs and how we can problem-solve together. It is important that your voice tells your story, as you are the expert. I will support, encourage, and assist you along your journey to define what healing looks like to you. We will continue to work together, develop coping skills, and strategize along the way. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Howard University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
