Getting to know Alleña Perez

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Georgia, with a Master's in Clinical Social Work and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia. I have dedicated my career to helping individuals overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and life-changing medical diagnoses. My compassionate and encouraging approach to therapy is founded on the belief that therapy should offer a safe space for introspection and self-discovery. Therapy is a collaborative effort that requires openness without judgment. It is a tool to empower oneself to realize the true power one already holds within. As a therapist, I have a down-to-earth, encouraging, and direct style. I combine my education and experience to help my clients navigate their unique challenges and achieve their goals. Let's embark on this therapy journey together to overcome those internal battles holding you back!

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the first session, I will introduce myself to my clients. I will make certain to discuss standard procedures for scheduling appointments, confidentiality, and communicating between sessions. I will ask my clients lots of questions to learn a bit about their history as well as discover their goals for treatment.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Allena is truly a gem. I look forward to our sessions. I love her solution-focused questions and how intentional she is in the direction we take during our time. She's also a wonderful listener and always circles back to things discussed in previous sessions! Allena challenges me to think beyond what I'm accustomed to which is often times uncomfortable, but she makes it easy for me. I never leave the session feeling judged or exposed. There is a warmness she brings to our sessions and I appreciate it. My best experience with a therapist to date!
She is great at listening and helping me understand the root of some of my issues. She always empowers me and gives me actionable tasks I can work on to better myself.
