Hi, I am Allison Adcock, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Wayland Baptist University. I specialize in substance use, addiction, and eating disorders. I take a client-centered, values-based approach in therapy, working with clients to set goals rooted in their core values, needs, and wants. My approach I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My focus I treat individuals aged 13 and older, including male, female, and non-binary clients. Conditions within my scope include depression, anxiety, substance use and addiction, and eating disorders. I also have experience treating mood and adjustment disorders. My communication style As a highly sensitive person, I bring an empathetic and nurturing style to therapy. I am client-centered, curious, and passionate. My journey to therapy I enjoy helping people. Early in my career in the human services sector, I discovered a love for the counseling relationship and the therapeutic tools that support optimal health. I am also passionate about ending the stigma surrounding mental health. My goals for you I take a collaborative approach to guide clients toward their core values and help set SMART goals. This includes using motivational interviewing and person-centered modalities.
