CA
Hello, I am Allison Chase, a licensed marriage and family therapist with a decade of experience working with individuals and couples. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. My areas of focus are infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and adjusting to parenthood. I also have experience in and enjoy helping clients struggling with life transitions, anxiety, and depression. My approach In my work with clients, I provide new perspectives, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and help clients develop coping skills to overcome challenges. I believe feeling validated, understood, and seen are important to healing and growth. I commonly use Supportive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with clients. My approach to therapy is tailored to the individual’s presenting problems and goals. My communication style My approach is warm and compassionate. I strive to create a safe space for clients to better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In a supportive environment, I guide clients to uncover new perspectives, challenge unhelpful ways of thinking, and teach tangible coping skills. Together, I hope to help clients get unstuck and move toward the life they want. My journey to therapy I have always been drawn to helping professions. Working with clients and supporting them on their journey toward the life they want to have is the most rewarding work I can imagine. My goals for you One of the questions I ask during an initial session is what clients would like to achieve with therapy. Identifying specific goals for each therapy episode gives our work direction and helps maintain therapeutic focus. I believe goals should be identified by the client; however, if clients feel stuck, I can help guide them in goal setting.
