Getting to know Allison Jackson

Do you worry that you may have ADHD? Are you a young professional struggling with burnout? Are panic attacks and/or anxiety interfering with your quality of life? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I’d love to meet you! I enjoy helping college students, young adults, and teens navigate the overwhelming changes in their lives. As a therapist who has experienced her own mental health struggles, I understand the importance of having your feelings and experiences validated. My approach to therapy is laid-back and non-judgmental, and I love using humor to make difficult topics easier to discuss. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you can be your authentic self. I specialize in providing neurodiversity-affirming therapy to the Gen-Z population. I’m aware of the barriers that girls and women face when seeking assessment and services for ADHD and can help guide you through this process. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, which has equipped me with the skills to support you effectively on your journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer both a supportive and directive approach to therapy. Our sessions can focus on processing your thoughts, emotions, and stressors encountered throughout the week, or we can focus on solving the problems you’re experiencing. We can also work on healing from traumatic stress or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
