Getting to know Allyson Chen
Hello! My name is Allyson, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I received my Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida. I am also trained by EMDRIA (EMDR International Association) and provide EMDR services.
I am originally from Taiwan and am bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English. My diverse life experiences have given me valuable knowledge and insight into cultural differences and cultural identity issues.
I have extensive experience working with adolescents and adults who struggle with trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, and self-esteem issues. I am also passionate about working with the LGBTQ population. When helping clients meet their goals, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches based on their needs, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and art therapy. I love helping my clients gain more insight, explore themselves more deeply, and find their best selves. Come join me today!

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
