I work with kids, teens, young adults, and new parents using approaches like DBT and CBT that focus on building skills and emotional foundations. My focus I work with kids, teens, young adults, and new parents who are navigating big emotions, identity, cultural expectations, or major life changes. If you've felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like you're always trying to meet everyone else's expectations, I can help. We'll work together to build the skills and clarity you need to move forward. My approach I use DBT and CBT as the foundation, and I adapt my approach based on what you need and what's actually happening in your life. My approach is collaborative and practical. We'll work together to build skills that help you manage what you're facing, not just talk about it. You'll leave sessions with tools you can actually use. My communication style I listen closely and create space for you to think out loud without judgment. I'm direct and warm. Sessions are also available in Spanish if that's where you feel most yourself. My journey to mental healthcare I grew up between the US and Mexico, navigating two cultures, two languages, and a lot of in-between spaces. That experience is what drew me to psychology and counseling. I understand what it means to search for yourself outside of who everyone else expects you to be. My goals for you I see therapy as a partnership. We'll define goals together from the start and revisit them as you grow. We’ll adapt your plan to stay meaningful and supportive as you move toward where you want to be. Our first session Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. It’s normal to feel nervous. Therapy is a process we’ll build together over time.
