Hi, I'm Alvaro.
The worst decision of your life can be not getting help.
At best, we are partially in control when all is well. But when difficult situations arise, our entrenched automatic pilot takes over.
As an OCD Therapist in Tomball, I'll take this journey with you.
We will take a deep look at your life. I will listen with my trained ear and see patterns you were unaware of.
We will work to understand what's holding you back and why it's stopping you from moving forward.
Let me help you heal the pain, break destructive cycles, and create the change you want for your life.
I hold a MEd in Counseling from the University of Houston, and I've gone through the work of therapy myself. I've experienced many of the methods and theories.
I've challenged my thought patterns, learned new skills, and received healing and freedom from my faith.
What I experienced through therapy was so powerful that it inspired me to become one myself ? to help others understand themselves and find their missing puzzle piece.
When I'm not doing therapy?
I enjoy watching movies with my wife and mountain biking with my teenage stepson in canyons and forests.
You might also find me praying in a chapel? or recording videos for my YouTube channel (I'm now up to more than 13k subscribers!).
And, of course, don't be surprised if you see me doing my favorite pastime: EATING!

Alvaro is a very gifted therapist. He is a great listener and he is intuitive. He walked with me as I worked through some issues. He also has a good sense of issue resolution, and didn’t keep me coming back to sessions unnecessarily. A man of integrity.

I highly recommend Alvaro. He has helped me more than I ever could have hoped for. Before I started therapy, I didn’t know what I was going to do. Since starting therapy with Alvaro, I am now on the road to recovery and feel better than I have in a year and a half. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is a great therapist and I highly recommend seeing him.

Honestly, words are not enough to convey how life transformative counseling with Alvaro is!
He has been a saving Grace sent by God for me and my family. When I met him I was suffering tremendously. His unbelievable insight, powered by The Holy Spirit has been nothing short of a miracle. I have been completely delivered from diagnosed mental illness, thanks to Alvaro’s deep wisdom of God’s healing power, his genuine care for me and his wonderful sense of humor that can heal even the most pained soul. He truly is a gift from God for us humans to find our way in a broken world. Praise Jesus!
His office is so serene. There is zero wait time. No front desk staff to contend with. Beautiful office surroundings. It’s a rare appointment that is healing rather than stressful. Ample Parking is directly in front of his office. Booking and paying for appointments is completely seamless.

Alvaro has been instrumental in helping me work through anxiety and other issues. He doesn't just try to treat the symptoms, but works with you to find and address the root of the problem.
He not only listens, but provides thoughtful insight. When I'm spinning out and nothing can reach me, it is helpful to hear that voice of reason that cuts through the noise. I also appreciate that there's an option to talk about my spirituality during sessions.
Finally, he gives you homework to do between sessions such as things to write about or questions to ponder. This ensures that you're working on yourself outside of therapy sessions as well.

Alvaro has been a voice of clarity for me as I have navigated OCD recovery. He is very patient and understanding about what you are going through and the pitfalls of recovering. He’s also helped me with my anxiety and scrupulosity with my Catholic faith. Overall I can’t recommend him enough.

Mr. Alvaro has been extremely helpful in helping me fight OCD. He is very kind, welcoming, and patient. I appreciate the empathy that he has toward me, understand the difficulty of dealing with OCD and how overwhelming it can be. I highly recommend Mr. Alvaro for anyone suffering from OCD or anxiety.
