Alyssa Ballis, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Alyssa! I consider myself a more contemporary, client-centered therapist, supporting individuals through anxiety, trauma, major life transitions, etc. I combine evidence-based treatment with a warm, relational approach that helps people feel grounded, understood, and empowered. My focus I see client from all walks of life. Some are attempting to heal from past hurts while others are trying to heal from things they are living through now. Often times, it's both. Life can be very overwhelming at times, and I am here to walk through it with you as you navigate the best path possible towards a version of life that makes sense to you. My approach Using various modalities and theories, my goal with my clients is to help you figure out your goals, work on a plan to accomplish them and walk with you until they are reached. Healing takes time, safety, empathy and care. I'm here to provide those things in a safe and comforting environment. My communication style My communication style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I focus on creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported while also offering clear guidance when you need it. I check in often, invite feedback, and work at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. My journey to mental healthcare My journey into this work grew from a deep interest in how people heal, adapt, and make meaning of difficult experiences. Over time, I became committed to creating spaces where people can feel safe enough to explore their stories and strong enough to rewrite them. My training has prepared me to sit with clients through anything they bring to me. My goals for you I help clients identify what they want to change, understand what’s getting in the way, and build a practical plan to move forward. Using evidence‑based modalities, we break goals into achievable steps and explore the emotional patterns that show up along the way. I walk with you throughout the process.
