“A great listener, and really helps guide me to the best possible solution for what I am dealing with at that moment in time. Alyssa is open minded, empowering, kind, and I always feel better after a session with her. She helped me work out some very challenging relationship issues, and brought me to a place where I feel much more confident. She suggested literature and gave me homework that really improved the way I feel about myself and the way I think about the world.”

Getting to know Alyssa Bianconi Momtaheni

Hi, my name is Alyssa, my cultural background is Italian and Hispanic. I am also married to an Iranian and have learned for decades about Iranian culture. I am familiar with first responders and have proudly been invited to do several ride-alongs with a local Police department. I began my work practices as a therapist in the Bay Area of California and have been serving for 8 years. I enjoy providing a non-judgmental environment to support you with providing skills and tools to improve life's challenges. I went to NDNU for my master's program, earning my Master of Science in clinical psychology. I did my undergraduate degree at Menlo College in Atherton California. Most of my time has been a significant amount of years working with children aged 0-5, in school settings, and with couples. I enjoy engaging in relationship building, providing tools you can apply daily, and also with women who have experienced trauma. I also am an animal lover and enjoy spending time with my husband and children, hiking, reading books, and engaging in meditation during my free time.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She listens, understands and provides feedback.
She has been very supportive and open minded is our sessions. She has an understanding of what we are dealing with and has been able to help us deal with our issues and grow as a couple.
She’s been amazing. She makes me feel like my opinion is valued but also gives other views and helps me look at things differently. I feel extremely comfortable talking to her knowing I will not be judged
It may be too soon to claim victory since we've had just a hand-full of visits with Alyssa, but from the beginning she's shown interest, dedication, compassion and hard work. She developed an outlined complete course of action describing our treatment plan and set of goals and always leaves us with exciting and productive home-work (books to read, podcasts to listen, challenges/exercises to complete, etc).
Alyssa is well-versed in her field, always presents both myself and my fiancé with challenging. Our status quo is that we grow together and as individuals. She is also very open minded, and has been very helpful and navigating through the LGBTQ world through asking questions and utilizing her education to Guide myself and my fiancé into the right direction. She has been very authentic and This has been very integral in us continuing to work with her we after the week. She has also provided a level of directness that has been both comforting and respectful. She also keeps the sessions light so even during moments of disagreement, we don’t feel a negative pressure while working through those disagreements. We have been thoroughly pleased with our experience and look forward to continuing to work with her as we navigate through the right steps to strengthen our relationship and prepare us for our upcoming marriage.
