“From my experience I leave each session with either tangible advice or applicable solutions. It’s more about a solid connection and understanding of the person in my opinion instead of the issues themselves, which makes the work feel effortless. Instead of therapy having a very clinical tone she creates an environment where you can really be yourself and that’s where I think true progress is made.”

Getting to know Alyssa DiLeo

Alyssa DiLeo is a licensed psychotherapist who provides virtual therapy for adults residing in New York. With nearly a decade of clinical experience, Alyssa works with individuals navigating anxiety, chronic stress, low self-esteem, and life transitions, helping clients better understand their emotional patterns and develop practical tools for meaningful, lasting change. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies and informed by current insights from neuroscience, including the brain’s capacity for neuroplasticity, the ability to develop new patterns of thinking, feeling, and responding over time. Alyssa helps clients recognize how longstanding beliefs, habits, and identity-level narratives can shape their experiences, while also supporting them in building new patterns that align more closely with the life they want to create. In her work, Alyssa integrates several therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and a strengths-based approach. Together, these methods help clients strengthen emotional regulation, develop healthier coping skills, and build greater resilience and self-awareness. Alyssa believes therapy should feel both supportive and empowering. She works collaboratively with clients to identify their existing strengths, deepen insight into patterns that may be holding them back, and develop sustainable strategies for moving forward with greater clarity, confidence, and well-being.

Immediately, was put at ease with her friendly demeanor and calm patience. More than a "therapist" she's a good listener.
My visits are always phenomenal. I always find the help that I need and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better therapist
she’s the best and always supports me anyway she can

Alyssa is always very attentive, caring, authentic, and most importantly non judgmental. She has a very professional but personable approach to her work and I look forward to our sessions together. She creates a safe space to talk about anything and everything while also providing tangible resources and actionable ways to help improve my symptoms. Don’t have enough great things to say about Alyssa! Highly recommend her.
Alyssa is very good at listening to what I needed and making a plan that worked for me. Most therapists force you into their way of doing things. I told Alyssa what works for me and she made a gameplan that is working and that I enjoy.
I’ve been seen by Alyssa for over 4 years! She is amazing at what she does and always makes sure you’re a first priority. She takes a lot of pride in her job and truly supports you. Her advice is top tier also!
Alyssa has truly helped change my life for the better. Before seeing her I was struggling with daily bulimia, I was so insecure (bad acne), constantly anxious, and struggling moving to NYC post college. She has helped switch my eating disorder mindset to mindful eating and has given me the best coping skills that I use every day. As there is more work that we still need to do together, I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else!
Alyssa DiLeo has been a God send. She gives the best tools on how to tackle every situation I’ve been through. She goes above and beyond to help as well as just listen and empathize. I’m very grateful for her. Thank you Alyssa!

Incredibly kind and polite. Conversations are friendly while still remaining professional, creating a comfortable environment. While I've spoken with others who have come off as demeaning, I've never once felt that way with Ms DiLeo. Overall very easy to talk to and wonderful to work with. Has thoroughly helped me also!
