Hi there, I'm Alyssa! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master's in Clinical Counseling from Alliant International University. I have experience in individual, couples, and family therapy, working with populations ranging from low to high acuity care. My approach I utilize various theoretical approaches and modalities tailored to the unique needs of individuals, families, or couples. I believe every person requires individualized goals that guide the modalities and theories implemented. Some common approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Gottman Method, Psychodynamic Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My focus I have extensive experience supporting individuals dealing with trauma, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, I work with couples and families navigating transitions, life adjustments, or conflict. My communication style I strive to create a safe, supportive, and understanding space where individuals feel heard. Therapy is a place to share and process emotions, feelings, incidents, or situations, and my goal is to provide that safe environment so clients can heal, grow, and become the versions of themselves they envision. I support individuals in reaching their milestones and goals by offering personalized care and guidance. My journey to mental healthcare I have always had a passion for helping others and a natural curiosity about how to best support people.
