Getting to know Alyssa Norbeck

Hello! I'm Alyssa Norbeck, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Illinois. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable and intimidating, but I'm passionate about creating a safe space where you feel heard and understood. My therapeutic style is empathetic, nonjudgmental, and individualized. I draw upon a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities-such as CBT, ACT, ERP, and EMDR-to help you reach your goals. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have experience working with diverse age groups presenting a range of clinical issues in both individual and group settings. My background includes private practice, mental health and substance use intensive outpatient programs (IOP), crisis management and stabilization, Employee Assistance Programs, and skilled nursing facilities/long-term care. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my dog, gardening, crafting, and kayaking.
