I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Orlando, FL, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master's in Counseling from the University of Central Florida. I work with both adolescent and adult populations and have experience treating a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. I use a wide variety of techniques to support clients in making progress toward their goals. My approach I use a Rogerian and humanistic approach to counseling and incorporate cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused techniques. This approach encourages self-growth, healing, and positive change. I am also trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques. My focus From my training and experience, clients I work with often seek therapy due to challenges related to life transitions, struggles with self-esteem, feeling overwhelmed by complex emotions and thoughts, or difficulties in their relationships. These stressors can manifest as anxiety, depression, and trauma, and may lead to patterns or behaviors that are harmful or counterproductive to the client's goals. I work with clients to build greater awareness of these stressors and develop skills to navigate them in more effective and meaningful ways. I want clients to feel comfortable talking with me, and I believe that building a strong therapeutic rapport is key to success. I also ask questions to better understand the client's point of view and use this information to identify themes or alternative perspectives that foster growth.
