Getting to know Amanda Austin

Hi and welcome to the first step in your healing journey. I understand that taking this first step can be difficult, but it is courageous, and I'm here to support you along the way. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and bring 15 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and families facing a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety, trauma, depression, grief and loss, parenting, and life stressors. My diverse background equips me to help people at different stages of life with various needs. I truly enjoy working with children, though I generally believe that in-person care is the best option. I have a specific interest in treating anxiety disorders and the daily life struggles that often accompany anxiety-based symptoms. Anxiety is frequently linked to events experienced as traumatic or confusing in childhood or adulthood. I believe that everyone is unique, as are their life experiences, so treatment interventions must be individualized to best support each person's healing journey.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
