Getting to know Amanda Garcia

Hi I am licensed by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health. I provide tele-health counseling across the state for adults. I am passionate about helping others overcome past trauma, anxiety, and low self worth. I truly love what I do so it does not feel as much like work. There is no cookie cutter modality. I tend to meet people where they are at and use whatever tools best suit their unique needs. I have been described as down to earth, non judgmental, empathetic, strengths based, and competent. I earned my Masters Degree in the Advanced Standing program ASU in 2012 and have been independently licensed since 2019. I opened my private practice in 2020. I tend to use a growth mindset-meaning small baby steps and progress not perfection. We become the little things we do a lot rather than the big things we do sometimes. All you have to do is show up as you are. I do not primarily treat substance use, eating disorders, mania, or active suicidal ideations. Such needs require specialized treatment with a therapist whose expertise falls within the appropriate scope.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She’s fantastic
Amanda has been great and so helpful with me kickstarting my therapy journey again. She immediately eased my concerns about me having to re-start and gave me information as to why what I was experiencing was normal. She has been a great asset for me and I look forward to our meetings
Amanda has been a huge asset to the success of my therapy journey. She has created such a wonderful safe space for me to work through my traumas and rebuild myself. I'm so grateful to have found her!
Amanda has given me strategies to use that build into my alternative lifestyle and regularly calls attention to the things that are going well while working on difficult topics. I have seen lot's of growth even with just a few sessions, as what we talk about can be implemented into my day-to-day, which is the style of therapy I was/am looking for.
