Hi there, I'm Amanda! Hi! I'm Amanda Golden de Duke, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's degree in Christian Counseling from Oral Roberts University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with an Emphasis in Health from Texas A&M University -Corpus Christi. I have specialized in Trauma-Informed Care and am also trained in Maternal Mental Health. My approach I use an eclectic person-centered, trauma-informed approach to care. When working with children and families, I approach using Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. My focus I have over a decade of experience working with children, youth, parents, and families. I've worked with children and youth enduring hard childhoods as well as adults recovering from their childhoods. I am honored to work in the field of Maternal Mental Health as well, with women dealing with infertility, hyperfertility, and post-partum mental illness. My communication style I foster a warm and, at times, playful ambiance aiming to allow those in session to feel they can be themselves free of criticism and judgment. I am honest, intuitive, and inquisitive. I believe that each human is inherently valuable and I work to ensure that you feel seen and heard. My journey to mental healthcare I continually found myself in situations where people -strangers- were vulnerably opening up to me about their lives. I decided to seek the education and credentials to know what to say back to them and how to help. My first session with you I am a professional listener and friend.
