Getting to know Amanda Gonyer

Hi there, I'm Amanda! My name is Amanda Gonyer, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. With over five years of experience, I help adults navigate anxiety, life transitions, generational trauma, and spiritual concerns. My approach is warm, authentic, and client-centered, blending humor and creativity to create a safe, supportive space where you can show up as your true self. Together, we'll work toward understanding your unique story and achieving meaningful growth. My approach My therapeutic approach is eclectic and tailored to your unique needs! I draw from a variety of modalities, including Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Jungian, Psychoanalytic, and many more to explore how your past experiences shape your present. I also incorporate expressive arts, inner child work, and culturally sensitive techniques to foster healing and empowerment. My goal is to create a collaborative and compassionate space where you feel safe to process and grow. My focus I work with motivated adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, spiritual concerns, and multigenerational trauma. I am especially passionate about supporting those from diverse cultural backgrounds, including the Latinx community, and helping clients connect with their authentic selves. At this time, I am only seeing clients individually. My communication style My communication style is warm, empathetic, and down-to-earth. I aim to create a collaborative and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves freely. Clients often describe working with me as feeling supported, seen, and empowered, with a mix of thoughtful reflection and humor to help ease the process.
