Amanda Hults, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Looking to start therapy, I look forward to providing you with a safe and judgment-free space to process and find new strategies to help you meet your goals. I specialize in working with individuals and couples in areas such as anxiety, depression, life stage changes, conflict resolution, ADHD, trauma, and much more. I hope I get to meet with you soon to help you best meet your goals. My approach My approach is very flexible and adaptable to what is needed for the client and their goals. I am very client-centered, typically using narrative therapy to best ensure clients are in control of how they communicate their lived experiences, and then use CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to process and challenge thoughts and emotions that drive their actions to best understand and live a more authentic life. From there, I then use whatever type of therapy provides the best strategies to best reduce unwanted symptoms or behaviors causing obstacles. My focus I have worked with a vast number of clients from ages 3-80+, from different backgrounds, places of origin, ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, and religions/beliefs. I have been trained and have many tools and strategies to share regarding managing depression, anxiety, going into new areas of life changes, parenting skills, self-care, mind and body connection, changing mindsets, processing and healing trauma, mood regulation, and much more. Sessions with me are purely meant for you to meet your goals, and I am just here to help support you to get there. My communication style I am a therapist who provides active listening skills, can reflect what I pick up, both verbal and nonverbal, and at times, I will challenge you on thoughts and emotions to go further. I will always remind you that if you are not ready or at any time decide not to go further into a certain topic, you are in the driver's seat, and we can pivot until ready to address that area.
