Amanda Lewis, LPC

Psychotherapist
VA
I am a therapist who provides a steady, supportive space for clients to understand themselves, heal old patterns, and move forward with clarity. My work is shaped by a deep respect for each person’s history and the ways early experiences continue to influence present‑day relationships, self‑esteem, and decision‑making. I help clients explore those roots with compassion and curiosity, not judgment. I bring a warm, grounded presence to therapy. Clients often come to me because they are high‑functioning but carrying a great deal internally. Many have spent years being the responsible one, the caretaker, or the person others rely on. In our work together, they finally have room to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with parts of themselves that have been overlooked or protected for a long time. My approach balances emotional insight with practical tools. I help clients rebuild hope and direction after periods of stress or disappointment, strengthen their confidence and sense of identity, and develop healthier patterns of connection and communication. I value structure, consistency, and a therapeutic relationship that feels collaborative and respectful. I also support clients through transitions — moments when they are redefining themselves, making difficult choices, or working toward meaningful change. I help them build momentum without losing their sense of balance or boundaries. My goal is always to empower clients with skills they can use outside of therapy, creating real, sustainable progress. At my core, I am committed to helping people feel understood, supported, and capable of building lives that reflect their values, strengths, and emotional needs.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
