Getting to know Amanda Potter

I spent 2 years working in crisis intervention. While meeting clients in the community, I realized how important being part of a person’s follow-up and recovery was for me. This led to my 7 years as a therapist, during which I have focused extensively on personality disorders and professional burnout. Self-expression and mindfulness are two important components of DBT therapy, and I believe in the value of incorporating these practices into daily life. What should a new client know about working with you?

After the session ends our work continues. Continuing to find ways to express thoughts and feelings and a self-care routine are two ways we continue after session.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
