Amanda Saoit, LCSW

Amanda Saoit, LCSW

Psychotherapist
DC
Hi there! My name is Amanda and I'm grateful for your courage to take this step. Since 2012, I've been helping adults and their loved ones overcome many different challenges: PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, divorce, and family estrangement. I use CBT, DBT, mindfulness, substance use recovery methods, strengths-based approach and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). EMDR is scientifically proven as an effective form of treatment for trauma, PTSD, depression/anxiety and distressing events. It is an honor and privilege to serve those who come to me in some of their most difficult times. I strive to create a setting where my clients feel safe, heard and understood. While the past can't be changed, we can work together in creating a brighter and more joyful future. Trauma and tragedy don't have to have the final say, and you can regain what may have been lost. If you want healing that is long term and meaningful, let's get after it!

Sondermind messed up my insurance claims and double charged me for multiple sessions.
Although couples therapy was listed on both the zoc doc and sondermind websites, Amanda did not offer those services. Amanda then offered to provide a referral but instead suggested general websites such as Alma therapy and psychology today. I would suggest calling Amanda ahead of time to see if Amanda offers the services that you’re looking for since the websites can’t be trusted.
