Amanda Scott, LMFT

Psychotherapist
MA
Hello! As a Therapist, I help adults reconnect with themselves, realize their potential, and build their ideal future. I work with a diverse range of people facing many challenges. The most common themes with my clients are that they are genuine, in need, and ready for change. My approach While working together, we explore where you are right now in life, where you want to be, and what obstacles stand in the way of your goals. You can expect to laugh as well as experience the full spectrum of emotions throughout our time together. My focus The ideal client for me is someone seeking a companion to help clarify what’s happening in their life, set meaningful goals, and move toward those goals while navigating life’s challenges. Anyone needing more confidence to progress and fully experience life is welcome. My communication style I am a supportive and honest therapist—straightforward when needed—and I use humor to help move things forward. I’m casual and warm and don’t mind if we curse during sessions. My journey to mental healthcare I’ve always been curious about people—their stories and why they do what they do. A class in Marriage and Family Therapy during my Master’s program at Antioch University helped me understand how I wanted to help others. The moment I sat in a session with a client (and settled my nerves!), I knew this was my path. I wanted to help people feel seen and heard, realize their potential, and reach their goals. One of the most fulfilling experiences in my life is watching a client start in a rough place and grow into a happy, healthy person who has evolved and created an amazing life for themselves.
