Getting to know Amber Jennings
Hi there! My name is Amber, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and my Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. I have 7 years of clinical experience working with various populations in Richmond and the surrounding areas. For the first 5 years in the field of mental health, I worked within community settings with children, adolescents, families, adults, and therapeutic groups. Using a person-centered and culturally sensitive approach, my objective is to assist others in identifying healthy ways to manage their stress, anxiety, and depression.
What should a new client know about working with you?
There is no "get it fixed quick" easy solution, change takes time, patience dedication and hard work, however, you have the ability to make that happen. I believe in meeting each client where they are at; empowering and supporting clients get from where they are currently to where realistically want to be. While some days are harder than others, we will work united to overcome challenges and barriers that you may face that to regain control over your life and be the best version of yourself.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
