She uses humor and playfulness to connect with her clients and is down to earth and practical in her approach. Amber believes that everyone has a unique story worth sharing. Amber earned a Bachelor's degree from Bradley University and a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northern Illinois University. Her focus has always been on children and families, with extensive experience in foster care and adoption, including the systemic and legal issues involved. She has worked with families of international adoption who have experienced symptoms of Reactive Attachment Disorder. Using her foundation in Attachment Theory and a trauma-informed lens, Amber helps families and couples understand the roots of specific behaviors. She also incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy to help clients find their best selves.
