Ami Quinn, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Ami! Hello! My name is Ami Grace Quinn, and I am an LCSW practicing on the beautiful central coast of California. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Fresno. I am a holistic psychotherapist specializing in helping you feel your best in all areas—physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual. In addition, I am a trained and certified neuro-nutrient therapist, using nutrition and supplements/vitamins as alternatives to medication. The focus areas of my practice include adult survivors of child abuse or neglect, adult children of alcoholics, life transitions such as divorce, narcissistic abuse, and end-of-life issues or terminal illness—all of which can cause stress, anxiety, and depression. My approach My approach to therapy is holistic, where I see you—the client—as a whole and a sum of your parts. Often, when we are out of balance or carry wounds from childhood or significant relationships, symptoms arise that interfere with life functioning. My goal is to help you regain balance and support your nervous system after life stressors that result in anxiety, PTSD, or depression. One approach I like to use with clients is IFS (Internal Family Systems), a type of inner child healing. I also use a root cause approach, where together we identify the source of your imbalance and work to cultivate more peace, calm, joy, and core self-energy in every area of your life. As a trained neuro-nutrient therapist, I enjoy helping individuals with their gut/brain balance—stress can compromise healthy gut bacteria and cause inflammation, which worsens depression and anxiety, so making some simple changes can really help you feel better. Other approaches I use include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and a compassionate mindfulness approach. I enjoy helping clients feel empowered and move from surviving to thriving in their lives.
