Amie Dunn, LMHC

Psychotherapist
FL
I specialize in Trauma, using Trauma-Informed Therapy along with CBT, Art and Play Therapy, OCD, ADHD, Teens, Family Therapy, Couples, Anger Management, Reunification, Adoptions, Coaching and School Support, Depression, Anxiety, Sports Therapy, Groups, Chronic Illness and Pain, Suicide Prevention, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). I also work with LGBT individuals, Veterans, Active Duty members, their families, and first responders. My focus is bringing healing to those in need. I have a strong belief that with the correct type of support, anyone can reach their goals. I work with patients ages 5 to 100. My communication style is open and inviting. Whether in person or virtual, my office is warm and designed to be a safe space for healing. I approach sessions with a family framework, whether biological or otherwise. My office is set up like a living room to create comfort and ease. With over 20 years as a first responder, I believe every patient should have access to their provider 24/7 as needed for crisis care and safety. My journey to mental healthcare began growing up in a traumatic setting. During my family's healing journey, I met a counselor who provided family therapy. After one session, she asked me to stay back and, during that time, identified my personal struggles and offered to see me for free. She played a monumental role in my successful healing. After taking my first college psychology class, I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Nova University, which has further equipped me to provide compassionate, effective care.
