Amy Elizabeth Deblase, MA

Amy Elizabeth Deblase, MA

Psychotherapist
303 5th Ave, New York, NY
Are you struggling with stress related to work or relationships? Are decisions tough and transitions scary? Life is challenging for everyone at times. External roadblocks aside, our own thoughts often trip us up the most—those thoughts that narrate our actions, replay one event over and over, plan various outcomes to a single upcoming event, compare our journey to others, judge and criticize our thoughts, feelings, and actions, and spiral to large (often painful) conclusions from seemingly small events. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from City University of New York, Brooklyn College, and I utilize an integrative approach, relying on authenticity, compassion, and curiosity to create a space where growth occurs. My goal is to support clients as they work toward increased awareness, accountability, self-confidence, communication, and stress reduction, while offering concrete tools and acknowledging the impact of early life experiences. Treatment is a fluid process, and not every therapist-client pair is the right fit. While language falls short of the emotional complexity of our issues and the therapeutic process, if my approach resonates with you and you are interested in working toward quieting that constant stream of thoughts, reach out. Taking that first step is often the hardest!
